Maryellen’s organizational skills have been used to help a hospital manage its annual fundraising gala, including editing and supervising the event journal’s many ad revisions up until press day, writing agendas for the program, and ghosting the evening’s speeches. Maryellen works well with clients, writers, photographers, web programmers, medical illustrators and printers, establishing budgets and advising on cost-effective strategies. She can also offer on-site art direction at photo shoots and an on-press role, and negotiate with vendors on behalf of the client. For many recurring or sizable projects, we function as the keeper of the schedules, triggering the first editorial meeting and managing the rounds of drafts, approvals, photo shoots, layouts and production.
